New Jersey Intercampus Network and Academic Computing Services at UMDNJ will host a half day session at UMDNJ's Piscataway campus. This workshop will present an overview of issues involved in implementing Web based distance learning programs as well as an in depth view of a sample product designed for interactive learning through the WWW. This workshop will be of interest to faculty, administrators, and systems support staff.

The Academic Support Group of ACS at UMDNJ is working in partnership with faculty members at two of its schools to implement a standard for its Web-based training using a commercial product, WebCT. Web CT offers a variety of tools that can be used either to create entire on-line courses or to supplement conventional course offerings. Attendees at this conference will view a sample course from three different perspectives: as a student, as a course designer, and as a systems administrator.
