How to Design a Home Page

This hands-on workshop is designed for participants who want to learn how to
design a home page. Basic HTML codes, home page design, image formats, and
file transfer protocol (FTP) will be covered in this workshop. This workshop
will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This course is intended for faculty. However, anyone is welcome to attend.
Prerequisites: Experience with Netscape or equivalent graphical browser.
Knowledge of basic Internet recommended.

Internet Resources in the Humanities

This hands-on workshop will familiarize participants with specific resources
available to them on the Internet. It will cover basic Internet tools and
offer some suggestions to those looking to become information providers on
NJIN PILOT or their home systems by creating a World Wide Web home page for
their department. The workshop will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Internet Searching Strategies
Date: 4/12/97
Instructor: Birte Nebeker
Participants will explore Internet search engines such as AltaVista and Lycos
and strategies for using various searching tools effectively, as well as
appropriate ways to incorporate Internet searching into classroom activities.
The workshop will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
