Internet-Based Communication and Collaboration Using Netscape Communicator ProfessionalThe NJIN Internet Technology Center will sponsor a full-day hands-on workshop on "Internet-Based Communication and Collaboration Using Netscape Communicator Professional." This class will consist of four blocks of instruction, each including hands-on lab work and practical exercises. In the first block of instruction, participants will learn the fundamentals of Web browsing with Navigator and Web publishing with Composer. The second block of instruction will cover the use of Netscape Messenger to send and receive electronic mail messages and Collabra to participate in Internet-based discussion groups (a.k.a. Usenet News). The third block of instruction will introduce participants to Calendar and Conference, elements of the Communicator Suite used respectively for group scheduling and real-time audio and video conferencing. The fourth and final block will afford participants an opportunity to experience the new Internet "push" technology using live channel content with Netcaster. The only prerequisite for this class is a working knowledge of Windows
95 or NT.
